Why is there so much chaos in the world?

The world is in a state of great turmoil. Earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, famines, pestilences and wars are becoming the new norm.
Christ had warned us beforehand that this would happen so that it might not catch us unawares.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:6-8:

Besides this, God in His mercy, has also given us a sure word of Prophecy so that we might not only know beforehand that this would happen but also understand the reason behind this. Why are we facing calamities of such catastrophic proportions?

What is the truth?

“The restraining Spirit of God is even now being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, fire and flood, disasters by sea and land, follow each other in quick succession. Science seeks to explain all these. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause.” ChS 52.1

“The Lord is removing His restrictions from the earth, and soon there will be death and destruction, increasing crime, and cruel working against the rich who have exalted themselves against the poor. Those who are without God’s protection will find no safety in any place or position. Human agents are being trained and are using their inventive power to put in operation the most powerful machinery to wound and to kill. The judgments of God are in the land. The wars and rumors of wars, the destruction by fire and flood, say clearly that the time of trouble, which is to increase until the end, is very near at hand. Soon grievous troubles will arise among the nations,—trouble that will not cease until Jesus comes. As never before we need to press together, serving Him who has prepared His throne in the heavens and whose kingdom ruleth over all. God has not forsaken His people, and our strength lies in not forsaking Him.” CCH 336- CCH 337

Surely the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the world but “Those who place themselves under God’s control, to be led and guided by Him, will catch the steady tread of the events ordained by Him to take place”.- 7T 14 (1902)
